Verbs divided in Tenses Usually we count three tenses and we divide Verbs respectively. The table given below talks more clearly about it.

What is Lexical Verb? Lexicography means ‘writing Dictionary’. Lexical verbs are those which reside in the dictionary. All action verbs (showing action only) are called lexical verbs. They belong to open class as the number of such verbs is not fixed. They are mainly divided into two; Regular and Irregular. e.g. • Regular => play, played, played • Irregular => speak, spoke, spoken
Verb and Sentence. • Without ‘verb’, sentence is incomplete. Many times, sentence can stand only on one word that could be verb only. e.g. => Go
