A TransformationalApproach... ThreeActivities in One… Promoting Social Change and Social Awareness… www.idismais.com
OurGoal? Our main goal is to promote social inclusion of the Elderly in European Society. The Three in One Model! For this, we decided to create a methodologicalapproach Three in One, a non-episodic approach but a transformational one that allows later on a more social influence and intervention by the Elderly. It’s important to have special days inside family that involve seniors. It’s Important to have special days in school that involves seniors. However it’s also important to build new social strategies that allow us to see the elders in a different way, emphasizing theirrole in children’s education and theirimportance to society. This model is build based in three different activities. They can all be used in the same event, in one afternoon, or in different days. They can be used separately and combined with other activities of the project or even with your own ideas. www.idismais.com
Application? This three activities model can be applied in schools, senior universities, public institutions, senior homes and others. The main goal is to bring different generations in to communication, and by this, transfer of traditions. Elders must have information about the younger generations, music, songs, expressions (and others) and establish a common ground. This will establish a bridge between the elders and Youngers ones, that allows a different involvement in their (children) daily life. This is a possibility to empower the elder's. www.idismais.com
