HISTORY AND MISSION OF ICRI • History • Organized May 21, 1988 in Naperville, IL, as the International Association of Concrete Repair Specialists. • Changed to International Concrete Repair Institute in 1993. • Mission • The mission of the International Concrete Repair Institute is to be a leading resource for education and information to improve the quality of repair, restoration, and protection of concrete and other structures in accordance with consensus criteria. • Overall and Underlying Goal • To improve the quality of concrete repair.

ICRI COMMITTEES • ICRI Technical Committees are open and looking for your participation. • Each Committee strives to balance contractors, engineers and materials suppliers and gather opinions from all sides. • You are invited to attend any technical or administrative committees that are of interest to you at any of ICRI’s conventions. • You are welcome to apply for technical committee membership at any time by visiting the ICRI web site. • Only a very few committees meetings are closed: • Those are Fellows and Nominating.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR ICRI is proud to announce the addition of Ken Lozen, ICRI Technical Director Growth during the past 10 years prompted the ICRI Board of Directors to add a new staff position. With this staff enhancement, ICRI will be able to strengthen it’s technical programs and add some new initiatives to further improve the industry. Over time, having this position will bring new revenue to ICRI and enhance our mission. Ken is not only a founding member but also the original Treasurer of the Institute. He is an ICRI Fellow and has served on many ICRI committees including the Technical Activities Committee (TAC). Ken has more than 30 years experience in restoration engineering, construction materials, quality control, concrete technology and troubleshooting.
