Tech. at UHAR • 6th yr UNE • 11th yr Avon Middle School • Non math related passions: Golf, Bruins

Curriculum/Standards • Closely aligned with NCTM standards (communication, problem solving, reasoning, real world application) – topics on handout • Integrates technology (smartboard, web resources, Excel, TI-84’s, etc.) • Be sure to check the web page for classroom happenings and web links BLIZZARDS WEBPAGE • Emphasis on problem solving

  4. Expectations • Participation • Homework completion • Respect for fellow students/teachers • Extra Help is available Mondays and Tuesdays afterschool until 3:00 pm and Friday mornings at 7:00 am - It is encouraged prior to major tests/quizzes!

  5. Grading • Weighted System - Algebra • Summative Assessments - 70% • Formative Assessments - 20% • HW - 10% • Weighted System - Intro to Algebra • Tests - 40% • Quizzes - 30% • HW - 20% • Notebook – 10%
