Treatment: • Manual Therapy • Electrotherapy / machinery • Massage • Stretching / Strength Exercise
Match Day Routine: • Prepare equipment needed – ice/strapping's/tape… • All strapping’s 1st– mainly ankles/wrist/shoulder • Pre-game massage • Help with warm-up
Match Day Routine: • Pitch-side cover – emergency equipment • Half-time – ice/stretch/massage • Full-time – injury assessments/initial treatments • Liaise with manager and club Doctor. • Warm-down
What makes a good Physio: • Hard Working • Patience and understanding of people • Sympathetic approach towards the patients, • A keen desire to help people live their normal lives • Level headed to deal with emergencies in work • Team spirit, • Good observation power • Ability to instil confidence and courage in patients
