The eutectoid reaction occurs after 8 to 10 minutes. It is sensitive to several elements such as Si, Cr, Cu, Mn etc. The released latent heat allows an accurate prediction using the ATAS Pearlite system.

The ATAS Pearlite system is very easy to use - Just pour a sample - The rest is automatic!
The sample is automatically evaluated and all data saved. The system is reset if the used test-cup is replaced.
All results can be displayed in the SPC chart Note the time stamp for each sample.
The Alloy database allows the foundry to enter their own alloys and calibrate each one for maximum accuracy.
