Holding Your Hand The arch that tonight you will walk under and through will be a place that marks many milestones for you As a Tenderfoot you learn to live by an oath and a creed With your parents holding your hands and taking the lead As an Explorer, your parents will be close by your side As you begin to explore God's plan for your life The Explorer will then have the courage to be A Pioneer who can stand for the truth in which you believe Then your parents will no longer be right by your side But they will walk close behind you as a friend and a guide The Pioneer will become a Patriot, filled with God's power bringing Glory to God in life's most trying hours When you receive your Stars and Stripes you'll go through on your own We'll shed tears and pray you stay on the path you've been shown Then someday through this arch maybe you'll pass again This time with your little Pathfinder holding your hand.
