Project Description: As part of your Term 1 grade, you will be required to do a presentation in front of the whole class on a topic related to India. Each of you will have the opportunity to randomly select a specific topic. No more than two students will be presenting the same topic.
Project Description: As part of your presentation, you must prepare a powerpoint, a prezi, or a poster. You must include drawings or pictures with captions, as well as interesting and relevant information related to your topic. The beautiful city of Udaipur, in northern India.
How Will You Be Graded? You will be graded according to the following criteria: 1. EYE CONTACT (10 points) 2. VOICE PROJECTION (10 points) 3. BODY LANGUAGE (10 points) 4. CONTENT/INFORMATION (10 points)

The social caste system of India: What is it, and how has it affected people’s lives? 4. Religions of India: What are the main religions of India, and what are their customs and beliefs? Where are they located? 5. General Facts about India: Geography, climate, population, and government system? 6. The city of Vrindavan: Facts and figures; why is it famous? 7. Life as a widow in India: What is the tradition? Has it changed over time? 8. One very famous person from India: Why are they famous and how did they affect society? 9. Poverty in India: Facts and figures; what is the government and the world doing to help? 10. Wealth in India: Facts and figures; how have the rich made their money; how do they spend their money? 11. What is Krishna? Why is it important? 12. Indian embroidery: Common styles and images, history of the art, etc. 13. The Ganges River: Where is it? Why is it special to the Indian people? 14. Education: Do boys and girls, and the rich and poor have the same access to education? How does it compare to your education? 15. Bollywood: What is it? Examples of Bollywood. 16. Child marriage: Facts and figures; what is the government doing about this problem?
