Strategic Plan • Budget allocation to achieve plan • Signed off by both Houses • First phase currently being implemented • Continued implementation of “One Parliament” project • Agreement at all levels that all I.T. related ‘functions’ to be rationalised to the I.T. Unit. (DPS) • Movement of telephony and cabling to I.T. • All technology standards & procurement to I.T. Unit • I.T. Sub Committee concentrate on Strategic view and leave Operations to I.T. Unit

Building on our Foundations • Closure of Auditor Generals Report • Passed external audits from 3 separate organisations • Passed recent A.G. inspection • Non Government Parties moved under control of PoV I.T. • Opposition moved from DPC to PoV • New “standalone” NGP SOE using PoV infrastructure • Continue to be a challenge

Building on our Foundations Achievements – Technology • Members communications infrastructure • Completion of Cat 7 cabling to Members offices in House • PoV Standard for all comms/data cabling across state • Upgrade to House Wireless network • EAP/Fast • Installation of Multi Function Printers to all EOs • Server rationalisation project • Blade technology now operational • Lotus Notes, Citrix Farm • Trialling Broadband wireless across state • Replace dial up.

Building on our Foundations • Refreshed the SOE • Service Pack 2 plus performance improvements • Re-enforced SOE standards adoption • Refreshed Precinct desktop fleet • 300 Desktops to 1GB, Dual core, Small FF, 19” TFT screen • Heritage issues • Completed in 4 weeks • Average customer outage 8 minutes • Upgraded Managesoft • Core and critical tool in desktop refresh • Centralised Malware and Patch Management

Building on our Foundations • Refreshed V.A.T.S. • Voice Activated Transcription System (Hansard) • New hardware • Installed Citrix appliance • Disaster Recovery/Commonwealth Games • Installed upgraded automated mail archive tool • Challenging project • Implemented Data shaping across WAN • Blocks to P2P, Google Earth, Some streaming
