  6. The huge storms came and crashed into his house and washed it away in the storm

  8. # 1 All Men are Builders The house represents our life - We all are building Wise Builder Attentive - “He hears” Right Doctrine - “sayings of mine” Practitioner - “does them” Foolish Builder Attentive - “He hears” Right Doctrine - “sayings of mine” Not a Practitioner - “does not do them” James 1:22 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

  9. # 1 All Men are Builders The house represents our life - We all are building Wise Builder Attentive - “He hears” Right Doctrine - “sayings of mine” Practitioner - “does them” Foolish Builder Attentive - “He hears” Right Doctrine - “sayings of mine” Not a Practitioner - “does not do them” Matt. 7:21 “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

  11. # 3 All Buildings are Tested Severity of the Test From all directions Rain upon the roof Flood against the foundation Wind against the wall Our trials come from every direction Job 1:11 2 Cor. 12:7 - thorn in the flesh John 16:33b “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

  12. # 3 All Buildings are Tested Impartiality of this testing Both houses exposed to same perils Storms of life strike all of us Matt. 5:45 “For he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” All have the same passions All live in the same evil world

  13. # 3 All Buildings are Tested Consider this : Wise man built for fair weather and the storm Foolish man built only for fair weather During fair weather the two houses looked the same Our lives may look the same but when the final test of judgment comes, the differences will be revealed! Heb. 9:27

  14. # 4 Only one Building will Stand Wise Builder “For it was founded upon a rock” Luke 11:28 = hear and keep John 13:17 = know and do 1 Peter 2:6 • Foolish Builder • “and It fell: and great was the fall of it.” • Suddenness • Completeness • Finality "Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame."

  19. Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, AND DOES THEM, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock …

  20. Whoever hears these sayings of Mine AND DOES NOT DO THEM, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand …
