  3. His actual name is AbūʿAbdallāhMuḥammadibnMūsāal-Khwārizmī. • It is consideredthat he wasborn in 780 and he wasdied in 850 in Baghdad. • He wasleftKhorezmtolearnscienceand he wenttoBaghdad. Here, he tookthecoursesfromIslamicscholarsandimprovedoneself.

  4. Al-Khwārizmīwasreceivedgreathelpandsupportfrom al-MaʾmūnwhowasAbbasidCaliph. • Al-Khwārizmīworked in Baghdad as a scholar at the House of Wisdom established by Caliph al-Maʾmūn.

  5. Al-Khwārizmī determined the rules of solving first and second order equations by the analytical methods for the first time. • He also determined the rules of solving equation with one unknown by the algebraic and geometric methods. Contributions

  6. In mathematics, he used the number of zero for the first time. • For the first time, he revealed science of algebra methodical and systematic. • He found the today’s computer science and digital electroincs which is the basis of 2(binary) number system.

  7. He wrote a book in 825 andthisbookwastranslatedinto Latin withthe name of “Algoritmi de NumeroIndorum”. • Because of thefactthat his name wasknownas “Algoritmi” in Europe, theterm “Algorithm ” wasderivedfrom his name.

  8. He gatheredthecalculationsbelongtodiameter of Earth in his booknamed “Kitab Surat Al-Arz”.
