TaxLevy- 2009 • “Tax Cap” - the County Clerk will not extend any tax levy beyond what the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law (PTELL) allows regardless of the amount levied • Increase 5% or CPI, whichever is less • Factors that affect tax levy extended by County Clerk: • Consumer Price Index (CPI) – .1% • New Property Growth
