Who are WorkDirections? Title • Part of an international group with 18 years’ experience of welfare-to-work • Operated in UK since 2002 and supported over 20,000 people to find suitable employment • Responsible for delivery of six Pathways to Work contracts • Work with JSA, lone parent and IB customers • Will support over 98,000 IB customers in six Pathways to Work Districts over three years Body Copy

Our Pathways to Work programme • ‘Personal pathway’ to employment Title • Our Pathways programme is designed to enable more people to go back to work and, because they are better able to manage their health, to stay in work • From their first WFI, we will help each individual to create a ‘Personal pathway’ to employment • They can access the services they need from our ‘Choices menu’, e.g.: • Job brokerage with personal advisor • Debt, homelessness, training support • Condition Management Programme • These services are delivered mainly in-house, with some provision by external specialist organisations Body Copy
Partnership in Service Delivery Title • Working with specialist employment organisations • MIND and other advocacy services • Attraction of ESF and other supplementary funding • Maintaining strong links with JC+ • Links to health services Body Copy
Progress so Far Title • More than 10 000 mandatory clients have started the programme • More than 7000 people have volunteered to join the programme • 35% of voluntary clients have moved into employment; on target to exceed 50% over the life of the contract • Engagement of mandatory clients in job-seeking activity remains a priority Body Copy
Our Pathways to Work programme • Condition Management Programme (CMP) Title • Condition management is about identifying and reducing people’s health-related barriers to work • WorkDirections’ CMP is run by in-house Chartered Physiotherapists and Psychologists / Occupational Therapists, and overseen by Lead Health Professionals • It involves increasing customers’ activity levels and restoring functional capacities • An important part of CMP is challenging and changing beliefs and behaviours • We educate customers about their health condition and empower them to manage their health better Body Copy
Our Pathways to Work programme • Condition Management Programme (CMP) Title • All customers will be able to access this specialist health support on a voluntary basis • Our health specialists will offer one-to-one consultation and group workshops/classes covering areas such as: • Managing injury and illness and coping with pain • Health and exercise advice • Coping with depression, anxiety and stress • Building confidence and motivation • Uniquely, our CMP is integrated with a customer’s job-seeking activities, so health specialists, employment advisors and customers work together Body Copy
