  2. How this got started • Fine Arts Council meeting in 2011 • Decision to run an exhibition in Calgary, inviting teachers and students across the province • After de-briefing, decision was made to run a show in Edmonton, Calgary and Lethbridge in 2012

  3. What we did this year • People involved • Vertical team collaboration • Arts advocacy (iHuman) • Show and sale details

  4. Silk Purses • Vertical Networking • Teachers creating alongside students • Community service • Classroom into the community • Exposed to a wide range of people …homeless man to business man • Venue successful

  5. Sow’s Ears • Creating a buzz • Finding free venue • Working with non-existent budget • Pick up and distribution of work • Theme cumbersome

  6. Arts Advocacy 2014“Inside Out” 5 students and one teacher from each school 20 x 20” birchboard panels Mixed medium with a sculptural element Show and sale will run end of February at Edmonton City Hall
