NEW PROCEDURE NOTE ATTESTATION PROCESS

1. NEWPROCEDURE NOTE ATTESTATION PROCESS • Procedure Note Attestation process changes to meet updated institutional requirements: • The language for the choices for Attending Procedure Attestation have been modified. • The Attending now will have options to return or re-route the document to another provider. • For StarForm Procedure Notes: • Process for attending attestation has been adjusted and no longer occurs within the body of the StarForm. • Please review the following slides that illustrate these important documentation changes.

NEWPROCEDURE NOTE ATTESTATION PROCESS Current Process • Attestation is embedded in the procedure note • Attending finalizes note after completing attestation New Process • New embedded tool allows Procedure note to be sent to Attending’s “To Review” worklist • Proceduralist finalizes note before Attending can attest • New Procedure Attestation accessed through • menu • Attestation has improved verbiage with more options

3. New Process… • Proceduralist Identifies Supervising Attending • Note is Routed to Supervising Attending’s ‘To Review’ WorkList Routed via tool embedded in Procedure Note StarForms OR Routed via document routing menu options available on finalizing the note

4. Attending has 3 options: 1. Attest note 2. Return note to proceduralist 3. Re-route note to another Attending 1. Attest note using “Procedure Attestation” 2. Return: Activates proceduralist’s docs4u indicator 3. Re-route: Activates Attending’s Worklist indicator
