  2. It’s been a funtastic summer and now it’s time to get back to school!

  3. My name is Ms. McClish.I am your child’s fourth grade instructor.

  4. About me • Have children and grandchildren • Teaching has played a big part in my adult life for many years. • I believe your child can do his/her best in my class. • I will help them to be the best student they can be.

  5. What will happen in our classroom?

  6. We will explore the world together in our phenomenal Fourth Grade classroom where we will study Language Arts, Science, Social Science, Math and connect with our world through technology. !

  7. What we will do together! • We will respect one another at all times. • Our classroom will always be an exciting learning environment filled with teachable moments! • We will learn together and demonstrate a standard of excellence toward ourselves and each other. • We will laugh and cry together and love each other unconditionally!

  8. As parents you are your child’ first and best teacher. Our partnership is very important. Let’s teach together.

  9. How you can help! • Breakfast can be whatever is in the fridge or cabinet. Pizza, grilled cheese, peanut butter sandwich, eggs, milk, orange juice…… Leftovers (hmmmm) • Help me to help your child get homework and school work completed and turned in on time! • Make sure your child gets plenty of rest . (Turn off the TV and video games early.) • Make sure your child gets a good breakfast. A healthy nutritious breakfast helps your child concentrate better.

This digital story will be used during myFourth Grade parent teacher get acquainted night to introduce myself and to acquaint parent s with what will go on in the classroom during the school year. I will put the power-point presentation on the projector and intelliboard so that it will stream the entire time of the meeting. I will also use the projector and intelliboard to demonstrate how technology will be used in the classroom.

  13. AllISTE (NETS-S) Standards will be utilized and demonstrated by students creating a digital story. 1. Creativity and Innovation: (creating, constructing, developing story line, plot, setting, etc.)2. Communication and Collaboration: (working together individually and collectively )3. Research and Information Fluency: (gather, evaluate and use information)4. Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making: (plan, and conduct research, manage projects and solve problems) 5. Digital Citizenship: (netiquette, practical behavior exhibited)6. Technology Operations and Concepts: (use of different modes of technology software and programs i.e. powerpoint, word, webcams, etc.)
