IOS Image Upgrade ScenarioIP Base to IP Base Upgrade • You have an 1841 Integrated Services Router that has the IOS IP BASE image of 12.3(14)T7 • Under NetAcad Maint or under SMARTnet, IOS upgrades of the SAME FEATURE SET are FREE • upgrading your IP Base feature set from 12.3 to 12.4

NetAcad Maintenance – Sign-up Process Begin Instructor opens RightNow ticket to join NetAcad Maint (email ID requested) LMC or CL respond with acceptance Academy responds w. Information. 1 or more Instrs ID, email, CCO ID Academy Support Desk Sends request for ID, CCO ID to instructor, LMC & CL. Support Desk validates info. Then sends legal contracts to LMC &CL Support Desk examines Ticket Support Desk entitles accounts via Service Access Mgmt tool Does Academy have existing Ticket? N Send Success Email Add Instructor under existing Agreement. Y End NetAcad Support Desk
Log onto AC then select Help
Select Academy Support
Click on Ask a Question
Fill in the fields At the bottom click continue and your ticket will be recorded. Follow-up to ensure your request is completed. Include your current email in this space. Go to AC later and verify your email is current
What Happens Next? • Support Desk will contact the LMC/CL for additional information • Name, AC ID, email address and CCO ID for all active instructors • Note: Each instructor must have as a minimum a guest account on www.cisco.com in order to gain access. • Support Desk will validate this information and then forward this document and the Networking Academy Maintenance Terms & Conditions to the LMC/CL for review and approval • It is the responsibility of the LMC/CL to acknowledge that each instructor has received, read, and agreed to: Networking Academy Maintenance Acceptable & Expected Use Policy Networking Academy Maintenance Terms & Conditions
What Happens Next? • LMC/CL contacts the Support to acknowledge that each instructor has read and agreed to: Networking Academy Maintenance Acceptable & Expected Use Policy Networking Academy Maintenance Terms & Conditions • Support Desk will add the Academy and its active instructors to the maintenance contract and send a congratulatory email. • Active academies are encouraged to use the maintenance service and its entitlements as described in the Networking Academy Maintenance Acceptable & Expected Use Policy • Download IOS listed in… NetAcad Maintenance - Image & Hardware Support Document
