  3. Communities • When you hear about youth programs they are usually targeted in either urban areas or suburban areas not both. • CHANGE wants to assist all youth in all neighbor hoods in the Cincinnati area. • Now we all have heard of the saying “Children are our future.” CHANGE is here to ensure that we have a bright and promising future.

  4. Statistics • Violent crime is composed of four offenses: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. All violent crimes involve force or threat of force. • Property crime includes the offenses of burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. The object of the theft-type offenses is the taking of money or property, but there is no force or threat of force against the victims. • On a scale of one to ten Cincinnati Ohio was rated an 8 in violent crimes and an 8 in property crimes compared to Los Angels California’s rate of 7 in violent crimes and a 4 in property crimes. • In the United States both the violent and property crime rates were only 4. • (“Our crime rates are based on FBI data”) (last updated 06/10)
