His Early Years • Jim Brandenburg was born and raised in Luverne, Minnesota • He attended the university of Minnesota Duluth • He majored in art history • Worked at a local news station • He began working as a reporter for the Worthington daily global • Within months he began submitting work to the national geographic society as a free lance photographer • In 1978 he became a contract photographer for the national geographic magazine

  3. Inspiration • Jim Brandenburg was inspired to get in to nature photography by his past colleagues and other famous photographers

  4. Style • Jim Brandenburg is a nature photographer who work with national geographic • Some of his works are chased by the light, face to face with wolves, looking for summer, and sky touched prairies
