In May 2014 a 48 hour walk is taking place in South Wales called You are going to write a leaflet on your home town for the supporters of the Hundred to visit. You need to consider what you think people would find interesting and write a leaflet outlining the history of at least three places of interest.
National Curriculum • You will be able to show how you can work at a Level 4 by: beginning to select and combine information from sources to produce a structured answer • You will be able to show how you can work at a Level 5 by: identifying the sources and selecting information to produce structured work
Learning Objective: • Research at least three places of interest, discuss how these places are presented and construct a leaflet for tourists
Look at an example of a leaflet • Think> Pair> Share • Construct a success criteria list based on your discussion work • Check the help sheet given and decide if there anything else you need to add to the list

You must choose at least three attractions to include in their leaflet • Using the success criteria and your three attractions, now plan and write the first draft of your leaflet. You must write at least fifty words on each attraction, outlining its historical interest • (Remember to be a level 5 you must show how some events and people have been shown in different ways and suggest possible reasons for this. For a level 6 you must describe and begin to explain different historical interpretations of some events and people)
