Factors which may disrupt the student-teacher relationship • Poor self- care • Previous unresolved trauma • Inability or refusal to control work stressors • Lack of satisfaction at work
Finally, students perspective of a caring teacher • Cultivate interest in the content which they are teaching. • Set high expectations for all students. • Influence learning through their relationship with students, “warm demanders.” • Are compassionate as they remind students that they can do it, as failure is not an option.
