Today’s Goal • Figure out a new method for going from Factored Form to General Form! • Some (Oscar and Alan) may find this method easier than FOIL, some may prefer FOIL (Mr. C). What’s important is that you find your favorite and become comfortable.
Think of the Distributive Property as a Dance Party 3(x – 5) 3 has to dance (multiply) with both things inside the party (parentheses)

Footworkin’ with your group. • Step 1: On a sheet of notebook paper, create the box for y = (2x + 4)(3x – 2) • Step 2: Fill in the top left box. • Step 3: PASS BACK • Step 4: Fill in top right box. • Step 5: PASS • Step 6: Fill in bottom left • Step 7: PASS • Step 8: Fill in bottom right. • Step 9: PASS • Step 10: Combine like terms and write in General Form • Step 11: Celebrate your correct answer by “Footworkin’” – Extra Credit for every group that has a representative footwork after getting correct answer
