What’s Happened in 2011 • Seen 10 people added to the church family • Seen 8 people baptised • Considered to be a church of 100 people (85 –Sundorne, 15-Grange) • 2 babies born! • Sent Whittalls to Sweden • Supporting, Planning, Praying for Admaston church plant • Launched Hope Initiatives Charity • Run a daytime Alpha for the first time • Held first ever Week of Prayer and Fasting • Started training people in Pastoral Care and Life group leadership

  3. Hope Church Vision To seek the spiritual and social transformation of North Shrewsbury, Shropshire and beyond

  4. Hope Church Mission To be a church that plants churches and makes disciples, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and encouraging people to obey all the commands and teachings of Jesus.

  5. 1. Prayer and Fasting Key Verses: • Luke 11 We will: • Last Sunday in every month • Last Thursday in every month • March and October Pray & Fast weeks

  6. 2. Evangelism Key Verses: • John 4v34-38 We will: • Run daytime and evening Alpha • Have invitational Sundays (Baptisms, dedications, Easter, Christmas, healing services) • Encourage maximum fun – less ‘church’ meetings

  7. 3. Discipleship Training Key verses: • Matt 28v18-20 We will: • Basic discipleship course • Foundations of Christian Living Lifegroup • Informal accountability pairs

  8. 4. Leadership development Key verses: • Mark 9v33-37 We will: • Help everyone find a place to serve • Train people to pastor • Train people to lead small groups • Train up future-Elders

  9. 5. Loving Each Other Key verses: • John 13v34-35 We will: • Multiply devotional Life-groups • Multiply missional Life-groups • Bring and Share meals, and celebrations • Quinta Summer Get-Away • Sharing things together e.g. lending library

  10. 6. Loving the Community Key verses: • Luke 14v1-24 We will: • Continue to serve families • Provide emergency assistance to families (Food Bank) • Specialise in training young people • Feast with the community (Soul Purpose Xmas)

  11. 7. Planting other Churches Key verses: • Matt 28v16-20 We will: • Continue to serve Admaston • Send people on Base Camp church planting course
