  2. 对话二：参加生日会 语言和语法功能 (language and grammar functions)： • Talk about a duration of an action; (看三个钟头的电视) • Thank someone for his or her gift; (太客气了) • Ask someone about his or her birth year and Chinese zodiac sign, and talk about my own; (属狗; 狗年) • Give a basic description of someone’s facial features (脸圆圆的) • Give praises to someone / complain about something; (又…又…) • Describe or inquire about the time, the place, the manner, or the initiator of an action that we know already happened （是…的)

L14 Writing Sample 王朋和李友是好朋友。李友觉得王朋又聪明又用功。王朋觉得李友脸圆圆的，眼睛大大的，鼻子高高的，头发长长的，嘴不大也不小，漂亮极了。他们常常在一起做功课。王朋的中文很好，所以李友每次考中文以前，都要请王朋跟她一起复习。明天是王朋的生日，他今年刚好二十岁，　属龙。李友想给他一个惊喜，帮他开一个生日舞会。因为李友不要让王朋知道舞会的事，　所以，她打电话请王朋来她的宿舍跟她一起复习中文。王朋以为李友一定又有中文考试了，所以带了书本去李友宿舍。王朋等了五分钟，李友才来开门。王朋一走进宿舍，就听到他的朋友又叫又笑，才知道是怎么一回事。王朋的朋友们送了他很多礼物，还带了很多好吃的东西。李友知道王朋最爱吃她做的蛋糕，所以自己做了一个生日蛋糕送给王朋。他们玩得很高兴，王朋一直到半夜才回家。
