Recommendations GRM: • Research orientation towards System’s Approach needed (crop, livestock, horticulture, forestry etc.) To be an Inter-disciplinary and Inter-institutional approach • More emphasis on crop diversification is critical incorporation of food legumes and emphasis on low volume, high value species (vegetables, fruits, medicinal plants) • PHT, value addition, agri-business and marketing research is a weak link
Recommendations NRM: • Integrated watershed approach with emphasis on: • - Water productivity • - WUE • - Reduced losses • - Water quality • 2. Soil health management: • - Conservation tillage • - Organic recycling • - Efficient nutrient use • 3. Assessing soil erosion and salinity
