  1. Dusty discovered that people on planet Earth liked reading books. They read fiction books that had stories inside, but they also liked reading non-fiction books to find out information about things.   3. Index An index has key words that are written in alphabetical order. It is found at the back of the book. The numbers represent the pages in the book and they are separated by commas so that we can easily tell where to find information. An index makes it easier to find the information we need.
