Liaison Report: Japanese MICT Consortium Huan-Bang Li, Ryuji Kohno NICT, Japan
Tracks • Setup formally in March 2007 in organization with NICT • Totally 22 memberentities joined (08-0521) • General meeting monthly. • Frequent task group meetings. • Ad hoc meetings, experiments, etc.
Task Groups • TG 1: Propagation measurement and channel modeling • TG 2: Advanced hospital application • TG 3: Body area networks • TG 4: Regulation and standardization • TG 5: Commercialization Study
Main Achievements • BAN channel measurement and modeling • (Contribution at TG6 and COST2100) • Interference and coexistence investigation and measurement in hospital • Prototype BAN development using both narrow band and wide band. • (PHY and MAC proposals at TG6)
Status Update • The first term will be closed at the end of March 2009. • The second term will be started from April 2009 with some update. • Some new members • Approval from each member entity • Add new directions and new topics • Re-configuration of working groups
