For this project I wanted to show Man's relation to technology, told through a series of portraits which were etched using copperplate etching. I decided to compare people watching Wimbledon in a crowd to a more homely situation with a mate watching a dvd in my living room.

For this project I wanted to showMan's relation to technology, told through a series of portraits which were etched using copperplate etching.
I decided to compare people watching Wimbledon in a crowd to a more homely situation with a mate watching a dvd in my living room.
For this project I worked with collaborative partner Maker Junction, a local community education centre, hostel and cafe. I drew people using all different kinds of technology: kindles, smart phones, computers and ipads.Simon reading the news on his ipad
Drawing into the ground/ transferring the image onto the plate
Etching the plate: immersing it in acid to bite the design onto the copperplate
