  1. Annotation Presentation Week 2 Basic Information Module

  2. Pathway Annotation Log in to IMG-ACT “Click” Begin annotating your gene in lab notebook.

  3. Pathway Annotation Scroll down to Basic InformationModule in Lab Notebook

  4. Then what? To get to Gene Details page for your gene,return to Gene Cart and click on Gene OID Scroll down

  5. Then what? With Lab Notebook in EDIT mode, copy/paste requested information into appropriate boxes.

  6. Then what? “CLICK” Copy/paste nucleotide sequence in FASTA format and record sequence length (bp) into boxes.

  7. Then what? Copy/paste amino acid sequence in FASTA format and record the protein length (aa) into boxes. “CLICK”

  8. Then what? “CLICK” Under Statistics, Click on “peptide” link

  9. Then what? Copy/paste isoelectric point value into box in lab notebook

  10. Recording results in your Lab Notebook Be sure you SAVE your lab notebook entries

  11. Recording results in your Lab Notebook Helpful hint: Create a link in your notebook to Gene Details page for your gene for quick reference in later modules
