Member Status • 113 (113) members (Denmark 45(45), Finland 27(27), Sweden 41(41)) Major activities Denmark • Development of a small IDM for state clients regarding exchange of spaces • New requirements from the state, all state projects have to use IFC and project web (the threshold value has been reduced to 3 million DKK for all projects) • bips has established a meeting place for software companies Finland • RYM Oy, the new financing center for research inside building industry, has been trying to establish BIM Based Business (B3) research program. This is a 5 year program – 50 million Euros. It has been delayed by several months due to lack of qualified programs. • A second workshop for the building owners and makers of the measured BIM is going to be organized in the September or October. The goal is to set up rules what to order and what to deliver. • CO-BIM requirements – updating Senates current modeling guidelines • IN-BIM – Infra BIM requirements – roads, railways, ….. aiming to take the whole infrastructure into a common information model Sweden • Interest in OpenBIM is growing. A new programme has started in parallel to buildingSMART. • Eurostep as a partner of the InPro project is now finalizing the BIM Collaboration Hub towards integration and collaboration which requires new functionality built into the IFC standard. Versioning is one important function missing today. Priorities for summit • Focus on funding and stabilization of the administration of buildingSMART International • Business plan, Communication, Membership, Sponsors, Certification and Aquarium (projects) • Implement a user driven business plan for buildingSMART International • Improve the quality of IFC implementation and certification • Define new certification process • Establish the International User Group (IUG)
