Why Drinking Water Scams Work • Because survival is more important to us than truth, logic and reason • Because we are prone to be superstitious and use irrational thinking • Because many people are scientifically illiterate and cannot tell the difference between science and pseudoscience • Because science education does not equal logical and critical thinking
