  2. Housekeeping • Maximize your CCC Confer window. • Mute your phone (*6) if you have visitors or noise in your office. • Please note phone audio may be in presenter-only mode. • Ask questions over the phone when the presenter prompts. • Ask questions throughout presentation via the chat window.

Adjusting your computer audio • To listen on your computer, adjust your speaker volume • If you’re using a phone, click on phone headset. • To speak you’ll need a microphone or USB headset. a) First, run the audio wizard Tools/Audio/Audio Setup Wizard. b) Second, press on the mic icon when it’s available (release when finished speaking)

  6. Voice activated software interface that allows the user to dictate text and key commands. Can be used to with or without keyboard and mouse input. Creates a unique voice profile in just a few minutes of training. Works with any software with a text editor. Dictating text works the same all applications.   7. Creating a new profile Each new user must create a unique profile. The application works best to create a separate profile for recorded dictations. You can create multiple profiles for direct and recorder dictation.

  8. Training Dragon • Training takes only a few minutes • It’s 99% after the first training • Choose from a list of readings. • You can print a copy of the selection.

  9. Accuracy Center • Check the audio sound system. • Reduce dictation errors. • Use existing documents to improve accuracy. • Create personalized commands and vocabularies. • Use voice macros to insert longer text with just a few words.

Challenges • Understanding the way voice activation responds within the application. • Dictating text works the same all applications. • Commands are application specific meaning that the user must know exactly what to say to make the application complete the task. • Understanding the way voice activation works when dictating numbers and symbols. • Speech impediments: stuttering or aphasia
