LA FEBBRE Condizione fisiopatologica caratterizzata da un innalzamento della temperatura sopra la norma non causata da variazioni della temperatura ambiente (la produzione di calore supera le perdite) IPERTERMIA : aumento della temperatura causato da fattori ambientali (es. colpo di calore) quando l'organismo e’ incapace a dissipare l’eccesso di calore.

    7. UTILITA' DELLA FEBBRE RISPOSTA DELL'ORGANISMO ALLE INFEZIONI non solo nei mammiferi, ma anche negli uccelli, rettili, anfibi e pesci e comunque a svariati antigeni: neoplasie, traumi, infarto, immunocomplessi (malattie autoimmuni), emolisi acuta, ipertiroidismo.
