  4. Physical Characteristics/Special Niche • Flaps btw wrist • and ankles. • Long, broad, flat • tails. • Jump/Glide • *65 feet • *8 mph

  5. Population density Native to Canada Pennsylvania 33 Pocono region Warren county and Potter county.

  6. Biotic Potential • One litter per year. • During the month of May • 2-4 offspring • K-selective • 3 months- first flight test • Sexual maturity at 1 year • Lifespan 3 years • = Low growth rate!

  7. Biome- Mature Conifer Forest • Trees • Travel • Home • Protection • Food

  8. Herbivores • Fungi • Nuts • Seeds • Do not hoard food • Do not hibernate
