  4. How is it called in different countries? • Spain– Fiesta Nacional de Espana • America– Columbus Day • Latin America– Día de la Hispanidad • Argentina– Día del Respeto a la Diversidad Cultural • Bahamas– Discovery Day • Uruguay– Día de las Americas

  5. What do we celebrate? • We celebrate by food festivals and military parades. • We celebrate this day because this day is the day when Christopher Columbus found a new piece of land which is the Americas in 1492, Oct. 12.

  6. What do people do in Zaragoza to celebrated this day? • People in Zaragoza have a military parade here in Plaza de Colon. • People in Zaragoza also have food festivals to celebrate this day.

The national day is called The Fourth of July, The Glorious Fourth,and The Fourth. It is celebrated by fireworks, family reunions, concerts, barbecues, picnics, parades, and baseball games
