What does Generation Scotland do? Generation Scotland aims to: • Recruit a prospective, intensively phenotyped family based cohort and associated control sample sets • Identify genetic contributions to complex disease & related quantitative traits • Apply genomics, bioinformatics and systems biology to public health for the diagnosis, prognosis & prevention of ill health • Act as a platform for translational research, rational drug discovery & clinical trials Generation Scotland aims to create more effective treatments based on gene knowledge. www.generationscotland.org
