Gustav Klimt • Australian Painter of the Art Nouveau style • At 15 he was already creating portraits with photographs • Style was unrealistic for everything but the faces of his subjects which he painted very naturally • Usually worked on several pictures at the same time and started by painting a fully nude figure first and then clothing it later • Liked to show the “insurmountable” differences between men and women
