  3. Participants could not leave the study except for health reasons that were deemed adequate by medical advisors. • The study was halted after six days, but was scheduled to last two weeks.

  4. Participants were arrested by a police officer and booked as a normal criminal. • They were only allowed to wear gowns (no undergarments). • They became a “number” instead of a name. • One prisoner would be sent to isolation to see how they would react when they had done nothing wrong. Humiliation
