New Vision Goals for Student Success • Align secondary and postsecondary curricula to reduce remediation andhelp prepare students for postsecondary success. • Provide students, especially underrepresented, low-income and first-generation college aspiring students, with detailed and immediate, online diagnostic feedback and academic interventions to reduce remediation: • “What should I study, what am I missing?” • Allow States and Institutions for the first time to develop individualized student intervention plans, aligned to the Common Core Standards, that focus on specific sub-content areas that require improvement. • Develop and promote a “prepared” college going culture for all students Take Students from I can’t to I CAN go to college!

Purpose for ACCUPLACER Diagnostics • Provide institutions with detailed assessment of a test taker’s skills in English & mathematics • Tests can be administered as a follow-up or before the ACCUPLACER placement tests
ACCUPLACER Diagnostic Test Summary Tests: Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills, Arithmetic, and Elementary Algebra Items: 40 items per test — broken into 5 domains of 8 items each Administered consecutively Time: Untimed (designed for less than 1 hour) Design: Computer Adaptive Results: Diagnostic analysis will be assigned according to attributes within Each subject Functionality: Integrated into the ACCUPLACER suite of tests; set up just like abranching profile

Students will see a personalized Learning Path showing where they need extra practice.
They determine which module they want to work on first; reading, writing or math.

Multiple Learning Modules to Help Student Learn the Concept, Practice, Build Confidence and Receive Guided Feedback Specific to EACH Student And the assignments include a variety of learning aids for just-in-time help.
As students complete each topic, their progress shows on the learning path. (stars = mastery, pencils = work to achieve mastery)
Students can demonstrate topic mastery by taking a post-test with a mastery score or achieving a mastery score on all activities. (This is an instructor setting.)
Educators and administrators can track each student’s progress in the online gradebook.
