America Saves Week 2012 Results • 500 USDA employees participated in Saves Week presentation • Throughout the nation, cooperative extension educators taught Americans to follow the America Saves Week theme: “Set a Goal. Make a Plan. Save Automatically,”reaching 97,709 people. • 30 Extension Educators used materials provided by ASW/Extension team • Univ. of Illinois held competition among campuses. • 4,734 people set a savings goal through these efforts pledging to save $1,130,870.

Ways to Participate • Schedule program during ASW 2013 • Incorporate “Saves” into regular programs • Participate in Extension “webinars” scheduled for ASW • Hold special events • Media releases • Social Media • Enroll Savers as part of programs • Enlist co-workers to do something for ASW
Mini Grants Available • Grants of $750-1500 available from Consumer Federation of America • Deadline to apply is Dec. 12
