Why Join the ACT MLTA? • Support Through: • Information in Contact our ACT Newsletter • Scholarship opportunities • Language Professional Learning programs, dinners and annual conference • Membership of the Australian Federation of Modern Language Teachers Associations Inc (AFMLTA) which includes subscription to the refereed journal Babel, published three times per year • Subscription to the MLTA email list which provides members with up-to-date information on events • Application for the Teachers Endeavour Scholarship

Opportunities to: • Interact socially and professionally with other Language teachers • Apply for the FIPLV Scholarship • Find out about travel, study and work opportunities in Australia and overseas • Make connections between languages educators from all educational sectors • Offer a workshop to present your ideas • Attend the annual ACT MLTA conference at a discounted rate • Attend the biennial AFMLTA conference (Queenstown NZ 2010, Darwin 2011) • Access national projects and activities (Professional Standards Project Stream C) • Contribute to the MLTA as an Executive Committee member
