  7. TYPES OF IMAGES REALISTIC IMAGE FIGURATIVE IMAGE ABSTRACT IMAGE Realistic images reproduce the model accurately. Figurative images represent real objects/human beings with different degrees of likeness; no keeping colours, proportions, etc. They can be a sign, a simplification, and a deformed image. Abstract images do not imitate the reality, it just is interested in the colour, the shape, the proportion, and the structure.
