Lord, you have filled me with many gifts, beautiful and special, for which I can never thank you. Was it not you who have given me everything that I have?
Today, however, I would like to thank you for the gift of priesthood. But, in a very special way, for the gift of a Priest.
Intrepid “climber” who has taught me to always look at the top of the great mountain.
You put me in your way when I seemed to no longer recognize a path on which to go.
A light, your light, you have led me to. What seemed to be the end of the road, became, instead, a great avenue, an endless horizon.
Your Word, which I have tried to sow in a limited space, have found no boundaries.
You have made known to me your fertile pastures, that satiates my thirst for truth each day.
You led me to a fresh springs that daily quench my thirst.
The summit of the great mountain. The splendor and beauty of even the smallest flower. The presence of your love in every creature.
The clouds hide the sun, but they cannot abolish it.
At the end of the curb, the road continues.
That piercing wire shall not continue in my footsteps.
That my life become a bridge between man and you, Lord !
That I must see everything with the simplicity and innocence of a child.
My safety, are much more fragile than anything I have,
That the freshness of a true friendship, is the greatest gift that God can give.
O Lord, your love is as infinite as the sea, as she equates the rocks of the mountain.
I have discovered and continue to discover each day in the small window of my soul. Even in the darkest nights, I have learned to find anything that will give me your Son to meet.
I have learned this from the one that you put next to me in my path toward you.
I thank you Lord, endlessly for giving us your priests and for having given me a friend and a father figure.
