DSG Review • Comprehensive review of DCSF grant to fund schools • National consultation expected next spring • Any changes impact from 2011/12
Local Funding Changes • 1 April 2010 • LSC transfer of funding responsibility to LA for post 16 • introduction of single funding formula for Early Years • 2011 possible changes to main formula – consultation next year
2010/11 Budgets (1) • Still very much work in progress • Significant cost pressures on DSG • Continuing increase cost of SEN statements • Potential cost of redundancy (even allowing for more redeployment) • Potential demand on contingency – including Early Years changes • Small saving – non school NJC pay costs
2010/11 Budgets (2) • Likely changes • Energy price assumptions (lower by 15 - 30%) • NJC pay inflation (lower, 1% not 2.5%) • Some services to schools prices may be held • Allocation of Harnessing Technology Grant (no longer equated to broadband cost)
Changes in Tools & Processes • SIB becomes FIPS with a new format being tested… • 3 year plan template improved – ability to import staff details from SIMS, revised printing options (in testing now)
