  2. Intro Section • Will be introducing the topic of the paper; African American Male Stereotypes In Hip-Hop And How Their Image Has Been Manipulated By The Media. • Touch on the topic’s significance to our culture.

  3. Literary Review • Open with a history of Hip-Hop and how it came to be what it is today. • Begin to discuss the stereotypes that is commonly associated with rap artists and how the media plays a role in that. • Explain the transformation of rap over the past three decades.

  4. Original Research One • Did a content analysis on two music videos and examined several issues of XXL magazine. -“Straight out of Compton-N.W.A. - “Hustlin”- Rick Ross’ • Explains why I chose them and what I will be looking for with them.

  5. Original Research Two • Did a textual analysis on a couple films centered around the concept of hip-hop. • Explained why I chose them and how they will be significant to the overall piece.

  6. Conclusion • Summarized the key points of my paper, such as media influence, stereotypes of rap artists, and how rap is a reflection of urban society. • Finishes any outstanding questions and expresses a final thought.
