A taste of the Netherlands We eat a lot of international dishes. There is no such thing as Dutch restaurant. But we do have some typical Dutch food. For breakfast and lunch we eat Bread, bread with chocolate sprinkles, apple-syrup, cheese, ham, etc. For dinner we have potatoes and stew In the winter we eat Pea-soup We have a very special way of eating salty herring For snacks we eat Frikandel, kroket and bitterballen. It’s meat prepared in varies ways and fried. Poffertjes (tiny pancakes) We eat a lot of biscuits, Stroopwafels (syrup-waffle) and Pepernoten (spicy biscuits) are typical dutch Drop (it’s a very salty candy)
