THE CENTRO DE ESTUDIOS Y EXPERIMENTACIÓNDE OBRAS PÚBLICAS • Spanish institution for multidisciplinar support on advanced technology applied to transportation, and other fields in civil engineering, as well as associated environmental issues • A Governmental Agency, depending from the Spanish Ministry of Transportation, and reporting to the Ministries of Transportation and Environment • Founded in 1957, as an integration of various pre-existing Centres and Laboratories

INSTITUTIONAL MISSION • To develop high-level technical consultancy, research & development, and technology transfer in the fields of civil engineering and related environmental issues • To serve the Government, public institutions and private companies in Spain and abroad • To co-operate with related foreign and international entities in technical co-operation programs, associations, ... • To support technical capacity building: long and short-term courses, conferences and other training activities in order to promote the transfer of technology
