Features of - Continental Shelf - A gently sloping, shallow of the ocean floor the ocean that extends outward from the continent. floor - Continental Slope - A steep incline leading down from the edge of the continental shelf. - Seamounts – Mountains whose peaks do not break through the surface of the water. - Abyssal Plain – Thick layers of sediment formed by the sunken remains of dead organisms.

  4. - Mid-Ocean Ridge – A chain of undersea mountains that runs all around the world. - Trench – Deep canyons at the bottom of the ocean. - Volcanic Island – Ocean mountain so high their peaks break the surface. Video Video 2
