  1. Just imagine… One of your dear one met with an accident and is rushed to hospital…

  2. Your friend/family member is being treated and a doctor tells you… “Well, the patient is out of danger. But there has been severe loss of blood and unfortunately, we don’t have stock of AB positive group.” Can you arrange for 5 units, while we also try!

  3. But you feel tensed… • You instantly think of approaching a blood bank • Instead you can ask a friend to donate blood • You are sure you’ll procure blood through one of these ways • The only consolation now, your friend is out of danger • You first decide to go to a blood bank

  4. What if… There is no stock of AB positive group or The blood bank is closed, as its past midnight

  5. Also if… The blood bank can arrange only two units, that too only after a day & The friend you had in mind as donor, is out of reach!

  13. There are 7 simple steps… Visit www.friends2support.org • Select Blood Group • Select State • Select District • Select City/Assembly Constituency • Click Submit • Look up results • Contact the donor(s)

  14. 1. Select Blood Group From the dropdown menu, select the blood group you are looking for

  15. 2. Select State Select the State where your friend/ patient needs blood

  16. 3. Select District Then select the District nearest to place of need

  17. 4. Select City Select the City/Assembly Constituency where the friend/patient needs blood

  18. 4. Click Submit Click on Submit button to search for blood donor(s)

  19. 5. Look up results You can contact the donors directly with the help of their telephonic contact numbers/e-mail IDs or postal addresses. And this way we are sure you can get the voluntary donors in minutes….

  20. Click `More’ for additional details

  21. 6. Contact the donor(s) You can get more details about blood donors by clicking on `More’ against each entry in the results

  22. Just Caution! Just to caution you - Do not disturb someone who’s status is ‘Unavailable’, because he/she has donated in the last 3 months. His/Her date of donation can be found on donor details page by clicking on `More’ against their name.

  25. How can I become a donor? Just click on “Register as Blood Donor” link to fill the simple registration form

  26. Read instructions carefully before filling the form

  27. Fill the registration form and press “submit button”

  28. Just becoming a donor will not suffice… You need to motivate some of your friends/relatives also to help whenever another person a friend or a stranger is in need of blood … Would you like to become an active volunteer of www.friends2support.org from your college/colony?
