Nicaragua is located in Central America betweenCosta Rica to the North of El Salvador and South of Honduras. It borders the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
In 1821 Nicaragua became their own country and was declared from Spain. Since then Nicaragua has continued to be abused by foreign powers. Nicaragua has been continuously been used for benefit of other countries. In 1850, 29 years after Nicaragua gained independence from Spain, the U.S and Great Britain signed a treaty that granted the two countries access to an inter-oceanic trade through Nicaragua without Nicaragua’s consent.
Nicaragua was brought under Spanish rule in the early 15th century and became part of the captaincy-general of Guatemala. In 1821 Nicaragua became independent when Spanish rule ended and became part of the United Provinces of Central America.
I would like to visit Nicaragua because the countrylooks very beautiful and the tour sites they have are amazing. They have a bunch of pretty animals you would never see in Missouri. Mostly, I think it would be a good place to get away too. The pretty freshwater lake and the peace and quite.
Interesting Fact:Lake Nicaragua, is the home of Ometepe Island, it’s the only place with freshwater sharks in the world. The sharks are Bull Sharks that swam upstream chasing food and then eventually stayed in the lake, and evolved to live in freshwater.
